Lydia Zeltmann
Lydia Zeltmann is from Washington, MO where she began dancing at the age of 3. She has trained in many forms of dance including ballet, pointe, tap, jazz, lyrical, modern, musical theatre, hip-hop, pom, game-day, acrobatics, and acro-gymnastics, and tumbling. Lydia has also attended various dance conventions, workshops, and master classes over the past 19 years, that have exposed her to wide range of dance styles and teaching methods. Her passion and love for dance led her to perform in the Missouri Ballet Theatre's 'Nutcracker' and 'Little Mermaid' shows, as well as participate in competitive studio dance, competitive acro-gymnastics, and varsity high school and college dance teams.
As a competitive dancer, Lydia achieved many awards at both Regional and National events, including overall high score placements, judges’ choice awards and Hollywood Vibe Regional Dancer of the Year. Outside of competitive dance, Lydia was a member of the St. Francis Borgia High School Starry Knights Varsity Dance Team for four years and served as Captain her senior year. She attended UDA camp each summer where she received the ‘All American’ award twice and was also honored with the prestigious 'Pin it Forward' award. Lydia and the Starry Knights won two state titles and competed in NDA Nationals over the course of these four years.
Lydia continued her dance team experience as a member of the College of Charleston Cougarettes Dance Team, where she and her teammates won the National D1 Hip-Hop Championship her freshman year. She continued her training at UDA camps throughout college and served as Captain her senior year. Lydia is a 2024 College of Charleston graduate, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology, with a minor in Psychology. She is very excited to share her years of experience, coupled with her passion and love for dance with her students while helping them grow in a positive and supportive environment.
